Our Team

Keith Finch founded Rapid Haulage with one rigid tray top in 1977. By 1994, the fleet had grown to 10 trucks, and in 1998 Keith bought KRW Meat Carriers, a refrigerated transport company. In 2005 Rapid Haulage’s refrigerated division expanded with the acquisition of Tiss and Haines Refrigerated Transport (now trading as Rapid Refrigerated). Established for over 30 years,  with various refrigerated vehicles that deliver meat and other refrigerated products statewide and interstate daily. As Managing Director, Keith aims to continue steadily building the company, and diversify the services we offer without compromising the expertise and experience our customers require.

Keith is assisted by 60 full time staff in a close knit, friendly environment. Keith's son Danny Finch joined Rapid Haulage in July 1997, beginning his career as a storeman. He progressed through the ranks as first a rigid then semi driver, and also spent time as Warehouse Supervisor, before taking the role of Operations Manager in February 2002, and becoming General Manager in February 2006. In 2008 Danny became Managing Director and is now responsible for overseeing the entire staff and running of the business. Working closely with Danny is Greg Clifford, who joined Rapid Haulage in February 2002 as the Warehouse Supervisor, and has now progressed to the role of Operations Manager.

Lauren Finch joined the team in March 2000 as a Junior Clerical Assistant. Now the Office Manager, she oversees the administration staff and ensures smooth running of the office's.

With the expansion into a second transport depot, which required relocating the head office to Rapid West, a position became available for a Warehouse Manager at Rapid Central. Ian Clifford joined the team in July 2005, and is currently supervising the warehouse and LCL operations at Rapid Central.

The team at Rapid Haulage are highly motivated, efficient, and enthusiastic people who pride themselves on excelling at what they do. We are consistently implementing new and more efficient systems, policies and controls with regard to Occupational Health and Safety, and all facets of our services, from storage and distribution to accounts. Ongoing training is a high priority, to ensure that our services and the information we give are always up to date with industry advances.
